Inclusion doesn’t happen through policy alone — it happens through practical change. Since becoming a Disability Confident Committed employer in 2023, we’ve been focused on turning that commitment into real action. Earlier this year, we reached the next milestone by achieving Disability Confident Employer status — but the real progress is in the changes behind it. From redesigning parts of our recruitment process to embedding accessibility into everyday working life, we’re working to remove barriers and create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. In our latest blog, we share how we’re building a more inclusive and accessible workplace — and the people helping to drive that change. Read more 👇

Pride Month at Novuna has been full of colour, celebration and connection 🏳️🌈 Throughout June, our colleagues have been celebrating our LGBTQIA+ community with powerful conversations, vibrant outfits and delicious sweet treats. It’s been inspiring to see our people come together to proudly express their individuality and empower one another to take pride in their identity at work. This year, for the first time ever, we’ll be joining the parade at Leeds Pride (20 July) and Reading Pride (30 August) as an official sponsor. Come and say hello 💜
Empowering the next generation of leaders and innovators in sustainability 🌍 We recently partnered with School of Business and Management, Royal Holloway, University of London on a six-month research project exploring the evolving sustainability landscape. Led by Lecturer Dr Hyemi Shin (Hyemi SHIN), the project saw two groups of students investigate how current sustainability legislation relates to our business and present their findings to a panel of expert judges from Novuna. This experience provided students with a valuable opportunity to support their development by allowing them to learn from experienced industry professionals and apply their knowledge to a real-world context 🌱
We’re delighted to announce that we’re extending our charity partnership with The Wildlife Trusts for FY2025-26 🐾 Over the past year, we have donated £26,000 to The Wildlife Trusts, our official environmental partner, towards projects that support the preservation of nature 🌍 It’s a cause that’s close to the hearts of our people, with colleagues volunteering 880 hours of their time to lend a helping hand to the charity during the same period 🌳 To kick off our renewed partnership, colleagues from our Staines office recently headed out to Thorpe Hay Meadow to volunteer with Surrey Wildlife Trust, where they rolled up their sleeves to help clear invasive willow from the unimproved grassland, so that native plants and wildlife could thrive 🌱 This is the first of many steps we’ll be taking together this year, as we enter our fifth year of partnership, and we’re excited for what’s to come 🙌
To mark the end of Ramadan, colleagues of all backgrounds recently came together to celebrate Eid al-Fitr across our offices with traditional food, colourful festivities and meaningful conversations 🌙 Led by our Multicultural Community, these events were a powerful display of harmony and a reflection of the inclusive culture that we pride ourselves upon here at Novuna 💜
Recently, our Group IT department brought together over 300 colleagues for TechBash, an event celebrating the transformative digital initiatives taking place across Novuna 🧑💻 It was a day filled with collaboration and learning, with opportunities for colleagues to take part in insightful discussions with other business units, functions and colleague communities about how we can best use technology to improve our customer experience. During the event, colleagues also had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers at leading tech companies about their innovative applications of new and emerging technologies. A huge thank you to our guest speakers: Amazon Web Services, Splunk, Workato and Ant Morse 🙌
We're recognising World Cancer Day, a time when people around the world come together to raise awareness about cancer. Here at Novuna, we're proud to continue our long-standing relationship with Macmillan Cancer Support 🎗️ As a charity close to the hearts of our colleagues, we recently made a £10,000 donation to help fund the incredible Cancer Information Nurse Specialists who run the Macmillan Support Line. This donation will cover the cost of 486 phone calls from the support line, providing people living with cancer and their loved ones with a listening ear and essential advice during some of life’s toughest moments. We’re grateful to play a small part in making this vital service available to those who need it most 💜 #WorldCancerDay
A huge thank you to all of our colleagues who spent time volunteering and fundraising for Crisis, our No Poverty partner, as part of their annual Crisis at Christmas campaign. 113 of our colleagues generously donated to the charity, raising an incredible £12,998 including matched funding, enough to give 436 homeless people a safe place to stay during the festive season. Four of our colleagues also volunteered their time to assist at Crisis’ centres, where they welcomed guests, served meals and carried out welfare checks.
