Jennifer Litzelman, a second-generation Merry Maids franchisee in Charlotte, North Carolina, has turned her family's cleaning business into something much bigger: a support system for families navigating busy lives, health crises, and everything in between. As the daughter of Merry Maids owners, Litzelman grew up immersed in the business. She eventually took over as owner in 2019, just months before the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, she has leaned into the role with purpose, prioritizing both client safety and community engagement. “We provide residential and small-scale commercial cleaning services, but it’s also about building relationships,” she said. She is committed to trust and consistency - something she says clients should prioritize when hiring any cleaning service. With vetted staff, open communication and the backing of a national brand, her Merry Maids team is prepared to step in and support their customers no matter what life brings. “We stand by our word,” Litzelman said. “If something isn’t up to your satisfaction, we’ll make it right. That’s who we are."
