Mr. Vinod Kukreti, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, was invited as the Guest of Honor & keynote speaker at a seminar on “Advances in Aggrotech, Food Processing, Computer Intelligence, Electronics and Communication”. The seminar was organised by Meerut Institute of Engineering & Technology (MIET) in collaboration with the Computer Society of India at MIET’s campus in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. Agricultural Scientists and industry leaders from the ITES sector were also invited to deliver lectures to graduate and postgraduate students. Researchers and students from the Delhi-NCR region also submitted their research papers at the seminar and selected authors also got a chance to present their work. Mr. Kukreti spoke on the theme of Electronics and Communication. He also touched upon the present and upcoming technologies that are shaping the sector, namely AI and Quantum. Mr. Kukreti addressed how AI is impacting the current landscape of technology with its application in nearly every field, including Agriculture. He concluded his session by sharing his thoughts on Quantum Communications and Computing which he said will “define the future of electronics & communication”.
Celebrating the triumphs and phenomenal contributions of women across every field and sphere of life, at HSC we dedicate the month of March with numerous events planned throughout and aptly called The March of Women. As is the tradition, a power-packed panel discussion on the theme of International Women’s Day 2025, “Accelerate Action”, was organised in the Gurugram campus of HSC. The panel comprised of Dr. Akriti Sharma, CEO of Pusa Krishi & Scientist, Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), Colonel Ponung Doming, Border Roads Organisation (BRO), Ms. Sarika Panda Bhatt, Founder Trustee, Raahgiri and Ms. Urvana Menon, Strategic Advisor, World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event commenced with a rousing keynote speech by Col. Doming who was also the Guest of Honour at the event. Col. Doming after thanking the HSC team for inviting her, highlighted that, the mindset shift needs to begin at home and in the formative impressionable years. She also emphasized the need for urgent impetus to “Accelerate Action” and quoted a report from the World Economic Forum that says at the given pace of progress being made, it will take around 134 years to achieve gender equity.
Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, HSC, chaired a session on “Beyond the Status Quo”, at WILL Education & UPES’ Shakti conclave which was held at The Claridges in New Delhi. The event was titled as “Shakti: Be the Champion for Accelerating Action” and was attended by over 100 delegates consisting of senior leaders and industry veterans across verticals. Mr. Sood was joined by Ms. Kanta Singh, Deputy Country Representative, UN Women India, Ms. Reena Asthana Khair, Senior Partner & Head of International Trade & Indirect Taxation Practice, Kochhar & Co., Mr. Salil Lal, CHRO, Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Ms. Snehlata Shrivastava, Retired IAS & Former Secretary of Justice, Government of India, in his panel discussion. In his opening remarks, Mr. Sood expressed pleasure that with such “dialogues, conversations and discussions”, the normalcy around status quo is now being challenged collectively by the society. Post the discussion, all the members present at the venue pledged to accelerate action for fostering an inclusive environment that empowers women.
At the 26th edition of CII’s International Engineering and Technology Fair (IETF), Mr. Amit Gupta, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, was invited as a panelist to speak on “Responsible AI - Ensuring Ethical, Responsible Innovation in India’s Global Tech Landscape”. The event was held at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi and was attended by visitors across globe that included CEOs, decision makers, technical experts, sourcing personnel, diplomats, Trade & Government Delegations and media.
Hughes Systique has been recognized as one of the WOW Workplaces of 2025 by Jombay (a part of IPO bound CIEL HR Group). The Wow Workplace Awards are an industry wise annual listing of organizations that have received the most positive & wow reviews from their respective employees on public platforms. The ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Hotel in Sahar, Mumbai. The methodology included examining HSC’s employee reviews, testimonials and feedback across the web including employee review websites, using Jombay’s AI engine. These reviews were then evaluated against Jombay’s proprietary wow engagement framework to assign an organizational rating. Organisations were rated on the factors of Employee Empowerment, Efficacy, Well-being, Organizational Connection and Pride. HSC was represented by Ms. Shilpa Mitra Roy, Director – HR, and Ms. Udita Puri, Manager – HR, at the ceremony which was an invite-only event for CXOs and senior leadership teams of nominated organisations.
Mr. Shubhash Verma, MD, Transaction Network Services (TNS) India, was invited to deliver a Leadership Talk at Hughes Systique’s campus in Gurugram. The talk was also live streamed across HSC’s campuses in Bengaluru & Noida. A stalwart of industry with a successful career of over 37 years as a technology and engineering leader, Mr. Verma shared his life experiences and stressed on the importance of being Happy. Addressing to a packed house in Gurugram campus, he emphasised that happiness is the most important thing that matters in life and how in today’s world we keep pursuing materialistic pleasures which fade way in a very short span of time while undervaluing our own Happiness. Mr. Verma also talked about the quality of accepting and moving on rather than letting various incidents affect our inner peace. He highlighted that de-cluttering of minds is very important and concluded his talk with that thought.
As part of a program to support and foster an innovative future for Korean Deeptech companies, Hughes Systique hosted a delegation of four Korean Deep Tech startups at the Gurugram campus. Organized by The Circle FC with Simsan Ventures and Korea Standards Association, the delegation was given a tour of the Gurugram facility by Mr. Amit Gupta, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, post which he presented in detail about the various deep tech initiatives in AI, Quantum Computing & Security, 6G Wireless, LEO Satellite Systems etc. at HSC. Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, HSC, then gave a comprehensive status of the Deep Tech start-up ecosystem in India. While complementing the nature of such exchanges that promote free flow of ideas and dialogue between the deep tech startup ecosystem of both the countries, he also highlighted the importance of more such opportunities. The delegation was accompanied by the team of The Circle FC which comprised of Maaz Siddiqui, Nemesisa Ujjain and Shivam Upadhyay.
Innovation, creativity and technical brilliance was showcased by Hughes Systique’s engineering teams at the annual Tech Day event. This year, spread across three days, Tech Day is one of the most eagerly awaited events at HSC as it allows the teams across geographies to come together and present their innovative ideas & solutions under one roof. Held at HSC’s Gurugram campus, Tech Day 2025 witnessed more than 35 demonstrations on emerging technologies like AI, Automation & Software Development, Network, Security & Varied Technologies, Wireless, Enterprise Applications among others. With so many deserving solutions and presentations, it proved to be a challenge for the jury team to single out the winners, but the winners were identified and presented with awards by Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, HSC. In his opening remarks, Mr. Sood complimented the engineering teams for showcasing such winning solutions and encouraged everyone to take this opportunity to address the real-world problems. Mr. Tarun Singhal, SVP – Engineering, HSC, gave the concluding remarks and while appreciating the engineering team, he also thanked the non-engineering support functions that played a crucial role in the success of the event. He emphasized on the need to keep learning from such events and said that “This is just the beginning of our most innovative ideas, at the start of the year and it is upon us to ensure its continuity throughout”.
Mr. Amit Gupta, AVP – Engineering, HSC, was invited to participate in a panel discussion on “The Deeptech Revolution: Shaping the future of Industries” at the 19th edition of India Digital Summit. With footfalls of over 12,000, the event brought together the veterans and experts of India’s digital ecosystem at the Pullman Aerocity and Hotel Andaz, New Delhi. Mr. Gupta was joined by Mr. Keshava Murali Elliadka, Co-founder & Engineering Lead, Sentry AI, Mr. Murli Sivashanmugam, Principal AI Architect, A5G Networks™, Inc. , Mr. Nishant Gupta, CEO & Co-founder, DevSecCops.ai and Mr. Venkat Iyer, Partner, Cyber & Digital Risk Services, PwC India, who also moderated the panel. As part of the panel discussion, Mr. Gupta focussed on the latest innovations in the AI/ML domain and how they are transforming the industries. He also emphasised on the need for robust governance standards and framework to fully harness the opportunities of Deeptech led innovations. Along with the technical details, he also focussed on industry needs which could be addressed through Government's policies for the country to be at forefront of Deeptech innovation.
Mr. Pankaj Sharma, Director – NIES, HSC, was invited to attend the Microsoft AI Tour, which was held at the Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. It was attended by by industry leaders along with the leadership teams of Microsoft and its partners in India. The tour was aimed at showcasing the latest AI trends and its adoption on a global scale. It was followed by a session where in Mr. Satya Nadella, CEO, Microsoft, talked about Microsoft cloud and AI infrastructure across Datacenter campuses in the country. He also talked about a few key initiatives, which are pivotal for achieving the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s vision of becoming a developed nation (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. Summing up his experience and learnings from the conference, Mr. Sharma said, “AI is touching all industries and domains. Currently the AI adoption rate is highest in the US and Indian markets, so organizations that can leverage AI will benefit their customers to transform goals to results”.
