Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, Hughes Systique and Chairman, Northern Region Committee on Digital Transformation (DX), CII, was invited to deliver the Welcome & opening remarks at CII’s TechNXT Talk which was held at Vivanta Hotel in Jammu, J&K. The discussions revolved around the theme of “Innovate North: Growth through Digital, Energy & Startup Power” and was attended by the Regional Chairs and Co-Chairs from the Energy and Startups committees of CII.
Mr. Vipin Jain, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, attended the India Space Congress 2025 at the Lé Meridien in New Delhi. Sharing his experience from the conference, Mr. Jain said that, “Attending the ISC 2025 was electrifying—with focused sessions on AI, quantum communication, space situational awareness, and deep space exploration, alongside with over 800 global delegates”. He also noted the participation & presence of many Asian countries at the event including Australia, which reaffirms the great potential of India & the industries operating in the sector. Mr. Jain was joined by his fellow participants comprising of industry leaders, start up entrepreneurs, and policymakers under one roof to watch the live launch of Axiom 4 Mission. The conference also witnessed senior space leaders emphasising how India is preparing for the human space mission of “Gaganyaan” and establishing its own International Space Station with support from Indian tech & space organisations, forming the foundations of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Celebrating the 15-year completions of a few Hughes Systique employees, Mr. Vinod Sood, MD, hosted them for an evening of nostalgia, camaraderie and reminiscence; at the Leela Ambience in Gurugram. To make their 15-year tenure even more memorable they were also joined by Mr. Pradiman Pandita, VP – IT, Mr. Rohit K Sahu, VP – HR, and Mr. Tarun Singhal, SVP – Engineering. With lots of laughter, unbelievable stories, good food and great company, the evening passed by in a blur. Congratulating all the employees who completed 15 years at HSC, Mr. Sood commented that, “As a team, we have conquered many-a-challenges and have even sailed through the turbulent times with learnings galore. Celebrating the spirit of mindfulness and healthy living at Hughes Systique, HSCians participated in physical as well as virtual Yoga sessions with much enthusiasm. The virtual Yoga session was aimed at easing the work from desks and was aptly titled as "Desk Destress: Yoga for Peak Performance-Virtual Yoga Session". The session was organised in association with YourDOST team and was conducted by Ms. Gunjan Kamra, a celebrity yoga trainer and founder of Equilibrium - Mind and Yoga. The 45-minute virtual session was focussed on how targeted yoga can transform effectiveness. It helped the participants practice mindful foundation, focus activation, desk recovery and posture optimisation through chair-based practices that fit seamlessly into the office environment. The physical yoga session was conducted by Mr. Jayant Nath, a trained & certified yoga instructor from Sivananda Yoga Centre, Gurgaon. The session aimed at relieving the participants’ health issues related to mobility and especially with the joints in the body becoming stiff & fragile. The 1-hour long session covered time-tested tips, tricks, and asanas which would improve the participants’ movement, agility, flexibility and help them do things which people of the past used to do easily like, squats!
Mr. Amit Gupta, AVP – Engineering, Hughes Systique, was invited to deliver the Leader Talk on Ethical AI at Sopra Steria’s Learning World Tour in their Noida campus. He was joined by Ms. Shalini Misra, Group Digital Offerings Leader, Sopra Steria, as they shared their insights on Ethical AI. The talk also explored on how transparency, fairness, and accountability must be included in the AI system right from the design phase itself, rather than being retrofitted later. The speakers emphasized the importance of building explainable, responsible AI and how tools and framework like SHAP, LIME, counterfactual analysis and DARPA’s XAI Dashboard are helping AI systems become more transparent and accountable. The session concluded with the thought that, “In an era where GenAI models influence decisions at scale, ethical AI is no longer optional—it’s foundational”.
