Our team at Monte Rosso Vineyard has been night harvesting Malbec and 125-year-old Old Vine Zinfandel for Louis M. Martini Winery this week! Cool night harvests help preserve fruit quality and ensure timely arrival at our wineries the following morning. The trellised vines are Malbec, while the iconic head-trained vines are the Zinfandel that Monte Rosso is known for. Last week, they harvested Sémillon vines that were planted in 1886 and are believed to be the second oldest in the world, after those in the Barossa Valley of Australia.
Harvest is officially here in the Central Valley! 🍇 Our teams have been working hard to bring in our white wine varietals and harvest at night to ensure optimum temperatures for the grapes.
Harvest season is officially underway at Stagecoach Vineyard—Napa Valley’s largest contiguous vineyard and one of our most iconic sites. We kicked things off on 9/2 with a sunrise pick of Chardonnay from Block T1, our highest elevation vineyard block. These grapes are destined for Pahlmeyer Winery. These photos capture what makes Stagecoach so special: perched above the fog line, this vineyard greets the sun before anyone else in Napa. That early light drives even ripening, vibrant color, and bold flavor in every cluster. Stay tuned for more harvest updates! 🍃
