Stefani has been a Talent Acquisition Business Partner at Flowserve since 2022. Her day-to-day work involves all stages of open requisition and applicant activity. She also plays a crucial role in the candidate experience which can include phone screens, giving interview tips, making verbal offers and assisting with background checks. Stefani says the most rewarding part of her role is the opportunity to assist both hiring managers and applicants. “It is immensely satisfying to facilitate a match for Flowserve, since it benefits both the hiring manager and the candidate.” She says recruiting for hashtag#Flowserve feels like an ongoing easter egg hunt: “Each day brings the excitement of discovering new applicants.” Since joining the team, Stefani has been met with patience and support that has helped enrich her understanding of our mission and operations. “I am grateful for the empowerment I receive from management through resources, technology and personal support. This environment allows for exploration of new sourcing techniques and collaboration with the team, striking a perfect balance between independence and teamwork.” Outside of work, Stefani enjoys reading, streaming British mysteries, a good meal out, long walks and spending time with her family.

Meet our first employee spotlight of 2024, Renan Mendes. With his passion for dissecting financial data and his key interest in numbers, Renan has become a crucial part of our team in his first four months at Flowserve. So far, his favorite part of the work is the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see how our financial guidance contributes to the company’s success,” he notes. He’s particularly proud of the strides his team has made in empowering our leadership to maximize their contributions and enhance the company’s profitability. “Our journey involved identifying each leader’s unique strengths and leveraging them to drive positive change.” Renan says he feels incredibly fortunate to be a part of an outstanding team here at Flowserve. “The people I work with are not only experts in their fields but also wonderful individuals who are always ready to offer their support and insights. The sense of camaraderie and teamwork here is truly inspiring.” Outside of work, Renan enjoys hiking and connecting with nature, long walks with his dog, reading books and taking on new DIY projects. He says these activities provide a wonderful balance for his professional life and contribute to his personal growth and well-being. Welcome to the team, Renan!
Flowserve is committed to our local communities, and we encourage our employees to give back where they live, work and play. We recently participated in the Hess Houston Corporate 5k, giving back to the Memorial Park Conservancy. Flowserve was the official Water Spot sponsor, and 50+ of our Houston-area associates participated in the event, which aims to encourage wellness and team building within companies. Flowserve was one of 200+ businesses that participated in this year’s event. We are always excited to team up with our associates outside of the office in support of our local community, and proud to be a part of such a successful event!
Meet our latest Employee Spotlight: Rubén Álvarez Díaz. He began working at Flowserve more than nine years ago as a Sales Support Representative. Although he had never before considered leading a team, Rubén made the decision to apply for a promotion to Customer Service Supervisor. “Not only was this a tough process with other eligible candidates, but it was also an inner fight against my fears, jumping out of my comfort zone and giving way to a new journey in my career,” he recalled. Rubén got the promotion and has been enjoying his role ever since. “Even after nine years at Flowserve, I still learn new things every day. Project Management means I’m involved in all steps of the process, and I never stop learning. My work is never routine,” he explained. Working with people is Rubén’s favorite part of his role. He feels that his team is a great example of diversity in terms of age, gender, race and ways of thinking, and he appreciates the passion and variety of perspectives they bring to their projects. “I enjoy helping people and encourage them to give 100% each day. This inspires me to give 100% of myself, too,” he said. When he’s not working, Rubén enjoys traveling, swimming, running, being out in nature and spending time with his family.
Last month, our Tlaxcala, Mexico site celebrated 7 million hours without a lost time injury, marking the occasion by planting a tree on site. This milestone represents an unwavering commitment to the safety of our employees and serves as a testament to the continuous dedication of each associate to our safety value. Together, we can create safe workplaces and products for our employees, customers and communities. Congratulations to this team for their exemplary performance!
