FTI is proud to partner with the Navy as they manage ships’ energy consumption more efficiently with the Global Energy Information System (GENISYS). As the prime contractor for all GENISYS development, FTI developed the Fleet Energy Conservation Dashboard (FECD). Deployed in Amazon Web Services Impact Level-4 (AWS IL-4) Government Cloud (GovCloud), FECD combines data processing and analytics with metrics visualization so Navy Engineers better understand energy usage and how to extend operational availability. Our customers are no longer limited to using analog sources to collect and process data, which can take months to distill any valuable insights. With the help of FTI’s technology and expertise, the Navy can rely on an energy decision support system capable of transforming data into actionable, intelligent information; visualize data within an intuitive, comprehensive dashboard that can filter by hull, ship class, squadron, and more; and reduce or eliminate man-hours of data entry and analysis by pivoting to automated application interfaces. Volunteering is one of the most important ways FTI gives back to its communities. Our communications team recently stopped by the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore to pack school lunches for kids across the region. Darnell Gaddis gave a full tour of the foodbank's main office and warehouse in Norfolk. Since 1981, they have provided over 380 million nutritious meals to individuals and families in need. FTI employees, Christine Pomorski, Lisa DiCrisi, and Daniel Norton helped them add a few more.
