We believe that as a company we are stronger together, and that our shared knowledge, skills and behaviours create something much more than the total of its parts - we also bring that to our communities! Community Day - a day to make a difference is a chance for each of us to spend a day of our work time on a meaningful cause. Here is the summary of activities in Q2, where our global offices used their community day to repair the racoon enclosure at a zoo in Frankfurt, clear/rake bracken for the benefit of local wildlife in Surrey, join a run for cause and volunteer at an old age home in Brno.
This month, our colleagues in India have nominated the Charu Home For Aged! Charu Home For Aged provide services to the poor, old age, mentally ill, orphans, and other social¬¬¬ly deprived people.
📢 One Month, One Country, One Charity. This month, our colleagues in Czech Republic have nominated the STONOšKA Club! The STONOšKA Club is one of the many clubs of the Association of Parents and Friends of Handicapped Children in the Czech Republic. The club takes care of children and young adults with disabilities. The most important goal is to give all members a sense of belonging and meet their needs. Within the club, members can attend the Leisure Activities Day Centre, afternoon hobby groups and participate in residential events.
In May, our colleagues in Denmark have nominated SOS Children's Villages International as the charity we will support! SOS Children's Villages works in more than 130 countries and territories around the world. They are dedicated in improving the lives of children and young people without parental care or at risk of losing it. Together with partners, donors, communities, children, young people and families, they enable children to grow up with the bonds they need to develop and become their strongest selves. They speak up for children's rights and advocate for change so all children can grow up in a supportive environment.

One Month, One Country, One Charity. February's charity and challenge have been selected by our colleagues in Poland. The mission of the Bright Goal Association is to provide comprehensive assistance to children with cerebral palsy and other disorders of motor functions caused by damage to the central nervous system, as well as provide support to their families, and to create multifaceted forms of rehabilitation for these children, leading to their full activity in life, work and society. This month's challenge is to read for (at least) 5 minutes every day for the whole month. While reading for 20 minutes is a great way to unwind and relax, it can be difficult to find the time to do so. Reading for just 5 minutes a day can be a great way to start a reading habit. 5 minutes each day adds to almost 2.5 reading hours for a month.
One Month, One Country, One Charity. January’s charity and challenge have been selected by our colleagues in France. Les restos de coeur carry out a fundamental mission of fighting against poverty and all forms of exclusion in France, bringing help and assistance to the most impoverished people, and more broadly to everyone in need. Their volunteers engage in a wide range of activities including free food help and social support, socio-professional reinsertion, transitioning from emergency housing to stable renting, help to the homeless, school support, fight against illiteracy, help with budgetary management and personal micro-credit, legal help, access to culture, sport and leisure and many other initiatives. This challenge encourages you to abstain from alcohol for the first month of the year. It's a great way to reset your relationship with alcohol, improve physical and mental health, and save some money.
One Month, One Country, One Charity. December’s charity and challenge have been selected by our colleagues in Luxembourg. Une Main Pour Un Espoir | association caritative - Also known as UMPE, is a Luxembourg based charity that has been working for the benefit of children placed in foster care under child protection services. Most of these children have been removed from their families due to abuse, rape, abandonment, addictions, serious illness, or have lost their parents. They grow up in children's homes with special educators and are therefore deprived of the family support that is important for their overall development. This charity organises for them moments of sharing, love and make their dreams come true.

UK Corporate Insight Day with Urban Synergy Thursday 30th November London Office 🏢 Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of students to the London office as part of an Insight Day with Urban Synergy; an award-winning charity that supports young people in reaching their full potential. The students gained invaluable experience in a workplace setting, taking part in a range of activities designed to prepare and inspire as they embark on their career pathways. Highlights included an engaging recruitment workshop led by Kathryn Brown whilst Liam Healy also shared his own experiences and words of wisdom with the students. Thank you Urban Synergy and to all those that took part in what was a thoroughly enjoyable day. We received some fantastic feedback from Urban Synergy, which is testament to those who helped make it successful!
