[Success story] One of the last highlights of late 2024? The opening of our new, state-of-the-art offices in the UAE! 🎉 Let's take a look back in time! ⏲️ In a first opening celebration event, Egis Middle East and South Asia CEO Alaa AbuSiam had the opportunity to declare the offices open by hand unlocking! Green beams and confetti followed soon after, marking the beginning of a new chapter for Egis in the UAE. 🎉 New offices, improving work conditions of Egis teams and in-house Group brands U+A, Inhabit and 10 Design. 📈 Egis Group CEO Laurent Germain then went to visit the new offices on December 20 in an occasion to reflect on the great successes of 2024 with the teams and have a sneak peek at what lies ahead in the region. Counting almost 3,500 staff across the Middle East, our Group is growing its presence in the region, gaining flagship projects on the way, including the delivery of the newly launched Riyadh Metro, the expansion of Dubai's 180,000m² purpose-built exhibition space, the comprehensive maintenance and rehabilitation projects in Abu Dhabi and supervision of Egypt's High Speed Rail. [Breaking News] 🚇 We are thrilled to announce the commissioning of Thessaloniki's first automatic metro and that we are responsible for the management of the new driverless line! 👉 The contract signed in October 2023 by the company THEMA formed by Egis and ATM - Azienda Trasporti Milanesi (49% and 51% respectively), runs for 11 years, for an economic value of €250 million. 🟢 Egis already operates the Greek Egnatia Odos highway, the Athens ring road Attiki Odos, and the airports of Larnaca and Paphos in Cyprus. With the Thessaloniki metro, the Group extends its Mediterranean operation activity to public transport! 💡The line connects the Western part of Thessaloniki to the Eastern in 18 minutes. With a length of 10 km and 13 stations, the metro is bound to become the main hub for inner city journeys, changing Thessaloniki’s mobility by making it greener. 📹 At this stage, 18 trains are circulating with a headway of about a 3 minutes. [Project] The Ohio River Bridges Project (ORBP): the largest transportation initiative ever undertaken jointly by Kentucky and Indiana! 🤝 Running from 1998 to 2017, the ORBP project involved more than just two bridges crossing the Ohio River: it involved a whole reworking of the downtown Louisville interchange system. 🏆 A rewarded project, winning the 2017 National Project of The Year by the American Society of Highway Engineers, among numerous other awards!
