Last month, BD had the privilege of joining International Health Partners at Buckingham Palace to celebrate IHP’s impactful contributions to global humanitarian efforts. BD has been a proud corporate partner to IHP since 2017, enabling the organization to deliver medicines and medical supplies to millions of patients worldwide and furthering their mission to expand access to essential healthcare to those who need it most.
One of the ways BD fosters a culture of excellence is by offering a variety of learning opportunities. Our African Americans at BD Associate Resource Group recently hosted a panel discussion for our global team members about executive presence, helping all of us continually improve how we work, support one another, and show up personally and professionally. #blackhistorymonth #employeeresourcegroups #makersofpossible
For more than a decade, BD associates have honored the AmeriCorps MLK Jr., National Day of Service by joining together to pack shelf-stable meals in partnership with Rise Against Hunger, which distributes the meals to communities around the world that have limited access to nutritious food. This year, thousands of BD volunteers packed 440,000+ shelf-stable meals for food insecure families (and reached a milestone of BD’s 2 millionth meal packed for RAH). We are grateful to our associates who are committed to service, strengthen our communities and embody our purpose of advancing the world of health. We're proud to share highlights from our first annual R&D Day of Giving held worldwide. Across 19 locations, our teams came together to give back to the communities where we live and work. From trail cleanups and volunteering at food banks, to building bikes for children in foster care, it was inspiring to see the collective impact we can make when we join forces for a common cause.
