Horrible automated interview process, it only gives you 2 chances to submit your code and if there is a slight mistake then you're locked out telling you that there will be no further interviews. There are no unit tests to check your code like in coding challenge websites (leetcode etc.) This was a huge waste of time. If the process is like this, I can't imagine the environment in the company. Stay away...

      Question 1

Programming test that requires some algorithmic thinking. It has very strict constraints to the types passed to a function.

Dear Candidate, we are sorry to hear that your experience with our recruitment process was not to the standard we expected it to be. Our task simulates the real-life challenge that our developers face on a daily basis, where unit-tests are written by developers as well. Therefore they were not provided during the task. We totally understand that such approach is not for everyone and wish you all the best in your career development. Kind regards, Julia I EMEA HR Lead

Really weird place. I thought the communication was great at first - but after seeing reviews from former/current staff as well as going through the interview process it's really weird. The test is completely automated, and if you don't pass the set out criterion, you don't proceed to the next stage. The criterion revolves around implementing a interval_map. The brief sets out what needs to be done, but the issue is that it was very abstract, with contradictions as to what the code would be tested on but then a completely 180. I've done many interviews, some at smaller companies, some global corps - but I've never had one that was so devoid of human feel. Judging by the multiple reviews over just two months - they're mostly going for quantity of applicants rather than quality, and they'll easily cut you off during the interview process if they find someone better. The task itself was not hard, but withy test automated that isn't given clear tests from the company themselves, this causes any minute deviation to cause you to completely fail. Furthermore, the criteria aren't marked at the same time, but passing one requires you to pass the previous even if they are unrelated. I was racking my brain over it but when I got to the 3hr mark I just realised I don't think I'd enjoy this place, however great the pay. It's insane how quickly something can put you off. Focus on the actual interview process and skillset, not how quickly/correctly one can create a solution, that'll lead you to uncreative robots.

After you passed the first screening, they will give you a programming problem to solve in C++, you can use the internet to help you solve the problem. I failed the test because I'm not familiar my test doesn't test all possible situation.
