It's a long process for an assistant manager job. There's an initial phone screen about 15 minutes, which is fine. Then, there's a 30-minute Zoom interview, which is also fine. But then they wanted me to go through 1-2 more interviews. I wish they would just ask all they need to in the second interview! Although I have 3+ years of retail, they only offered me a PT sales associate position "to get acquainted with the culture".

Step one was a phone screen with the Store Manager. The questions weren’t open ended and seemed to be in place to see who best fits the Lulu mold rather than to appropriately gather an idea about the prospective employee. Despite that, it seemed to go well enough and I was told I’d hear back by Monday of the following week. The next step, as I was informed, would be a panel Zoom interview with two other Store Managers. This eased concerns brought on by other reviews who mentioned a bait-and-switch where the AM position doesn’t actually exist. However, the call never came. Instead, I received an email the following day that they were moving forward with other candidates. Feels like I may have dodged a bullet.

3 rounds with various other assistant managers and leadership throughout the region. All of the interviews were virtual. They were very laid back and comfortable feeling, but asked great questions related to the company and how you would fit.
