J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 jours. J'ai passé un entretien chez interface AI (Washington, DC) en sept. 2024
Entretien
The most disrespectful "senior" recruiter I have encountered in my years in HR. He not only interrupted me several times while I was answering his questions, but from the very beginning, he appeared visibly disinterested in what I had to say. At the end of the interview, he informed me that he would pass my resume to the hiring manager (the CEO) and update me on next steps within a few days. However, less than six hours after our video call, I received a generic rejection email.
Given the timeline, I highly doubt the CEO had the opportunity to review my resume, and it was clear there was bias at play during the interview. When I asked him what his favorite aspect of Interface’s culture was, his response was, "I actually don't have one." For a senior recruiter to respond this way is alarming and raises serious concerns about whether this is an organization I would want to work for, or even engage with as a customer.
Initially, communication was smooth, and the turnaround was quick. However, after the recruiter went on vacation, the process stalled, and I was eventually informed via email that the role was put on hold.
I’d like to offer a couple of suggestions regarding your recruitment process. Given that this position is for an HR role overseeing recruitment, it’s crucial to present a strong and consistent experience, as it reflects your company culture. Based on public feedback (e.g., Glassdoor reviews), it’s clear there are some cultural issues. Being upfront about these challenges, especially when hiring for a role meant to address them, would be beneficial.
Wishing you the best of luck in improving this process going forward.
