I saw the job online, and it was exactly the type of role I was looking for. I had partnered with iCIMS and was a client of theirs at one time, so I reached out to my former contact to ask if they could share my resume. My resume was shared with the hiring manager, and I was scheduled for a phone interview shortly after. The phone interview went well, and I was scheduled to come in and meet with the hiring manager, and the other Talent Management Business Partner. Each interview lasted about 45 minutes, and was fairly behavioral based. The interviewers were very pleasant, and were fairly easy to talk to. When I was rejected, the hiring manager actually gave me a call, which was a very nice touch. I did not have the experience with this type of workforce in the past, and they had a better suited candidate.
