I applied online and came in the store to say I had applied. They called me later on in the week and I had an interview with the store manager and they made an offer. Typical questions asking about strenths and weaknesses, sales, customer service.

Entretien
The interviewing process was easy. The manager who interviewed me was extremely unprepared and very obviously not comfortable with interviewing. I was asked a few questions about how to deal with customers in certain situations and was asked about how to deal with shoplifters and cash handling. The magazines and memberships were mentioned but the standards were not.

Entretien
I heard about the assistant manager position from a friend and applied to the store in person. I was called in for an interview just a day or two later. With a few years of retail experience behind me at that point, I felt that the interview was fairly standard for that type of position. The store manager interviewed me and had a great personality. She definitely put me at ease. The interview felt more like just a "getting to know you" conversation than a stressful process where I had to try to sell myself.
