My recruiter reached out to me via email. There was an appointment set up for a later date. The first phone call were typical questions where you'd explain how you would handle certain situations. If the recruiter felt you were a candidate, he/she will arrange for a second interview with a hiring manager. The hiring manager interview was more of a conversation. They also sent some questions you could expect while also being able to overcome objections.
