      Entretien

I responded to an email that said I had passed the initial screening and come to the plant to take a test for I & E technician position. I booked a hotel room and travel to the particular city to take the test. If I was told upfront that there would be 32 other people in the room taking the same test for the very same position and half of them were veteran I & E Technicians, I likely would not have wasted my time or money to take on this venture. What is the point of doing an initial screening if you still have 32 people testing for the position? I realize that our economy has many applicants in the pool, but if my credentials on paper are not good enough to be in the top 5 candidates, don't waste my time telling me to come on site. Some of us have way too many other interviews going on right now to play that game. Finally, no one is told the details of the job or the wages/ benefits until after the exam is over. Had I known some of those unfortunate detail sooner I would, again, not shown up for the test. Finally, we were told that if we are called for an interview, it would be 1 month later. So, in a nutshell, anyone applying to a position at BP should expect roughly 3 months of red tape from the day you first apply, before you can land the job. It will be a few weeks before I hear anything, but I do not plan on stalling my other offers on the table any longer. BP- get out of the stone age and hire recruiters that know what efficiency actually means.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

During the video comprehension portions and auditory comprehension portions, the sound was very low. The person administering the exam did not use a microphone, nor did she move around the conference room to ensure she could be heard. Those applicants that are used to working near loud machinery might have a difficult time unless you are lucky enough to get a seat up front.
