      Entretien

      The interview was nothing out of the ordinary, as far as tech interviews go. However, neither of my interviewers showed up, so I had to wait 30 minutes for a couple of random employees to be grabbed to interview me, which resulted in my interviews being cut short. After the interview, I was told I'd be contacted within 2 weeks. It took 4 weeks, two unanswered e-mails, and a phone call (which went to voicemail) before they sent me an auto-reply email saying I hadn't gotten the position. At that point, I didn't even want it anymore. And they still haven't reimbursed me for travel, to the tune of $500.

      You have a bag of coins, and you can place them on each hour on a clock. For each coin you put down, it must be its own value away from the previously placed coin. So if you have a penny on 3 o'clock, and you want to put down a nickel, you place it on 8 o'clock. The game is won if you find a sequence of coin placements that results in each hour being covered. How would you design a test to determine if the game is won? Program the game. Optimize.

      Rd1: Recruiter Rd2: HM Interview - 30m Rd3: Coding Interview - 90m Rd4: 2x 90m Coding Interview, 1 Behavioral (Virtual Onsite) To put it in one sentence, Athenahealth’s interview process is significantly flawed and out of touch. Expect 4.5-6 HOURS of rigorous coding round interviews where you must complete fully optimized working solutions.There’s no care for how, or why you solved the problem. Just get every test case passing, and you’ve got a job. It’s clear this company is more keen on hiring a leetcoder, rather than trying to identify real talent. Other than the HM interview, no other opportunities are given to meet your potential coworkers. Expect to hop on a call with a stone wall of an interviewer, and have no intro’s or icebreaker. This was probably the biggest red flag of all. Do better athenahealth..

      Entretien

      I had a 15-minute recruiter phone screen, followed by a scheduled call with the hiring manager. During the call, the hiring manager was dismissive and repeatedly tried to downplay the achievements listed on my résumé. She was rude and kept challenging everything I said, trying to make it seem like my accomplishments were insignificant. I never received any feedback from either the recruiter or the hiring manager, they simply ghosted me. Overall, it was a terrible hiring experience.
