Worst interview process (actually interview was okay, but the process after that was too bad) I ever had in my entire career. Talent acquisition(TA) guys in Athena Health Chennai have zero courtesy. They say their process is fully transparent, but what they do is the exact opposite.
I got shortlisted after a coding round in HackerRank. And was called to the office. There were 3 rounds: A tech round(mostly tech and some problem solving), system design round and a hiring manager round. I cleared all 3 and they said my performance was good enough only for SMTS(Senior Member of Technical Staff) for which I said okay. They asked me expected CTC which I gave(and they accepted) and they also said they will pay out unvested shares from my current company. I was really happy. Except for the 1 hour wait for 2 of the interviews (in total 2 hours), the interview day was okay. They also provided lunch from their office.
Now the painful process(experience) starts:
Next day(Sep 6) they send an email asking for current employer salary slip and other papers. I send them the papers.
Sep 11 - no update from them. I send an email asking for update.
Sep 12- reply from TA: apologies for delay and will update by next Wednesday
Sep 20 - nothing from TA. So I send an email again asking for update.
Sep 20 - reply from TA: apologies for delay. we will close by next week
Sep 25 - I got another offer and tell TA about the same. TA guys wanted to see the letter. I send them that. After that no reply.
Sep 27 - I send an email asking for update. TA guy calls me and asks for some extra papers which I sent them
Oct 1 - I send an email asking for update. TA guy calls me and says some delay in approval. Asks me to wait
Oct 8 - I send an email asking for update. This time no reply from TA.
Oct 14 - I send another email asking for update. No reply.
Oct 16 - I send another email asking for update. No reply.
Oct 16 - Another TA person sends me an email(different email thread) about Director of Athena wanting to talk to me. She said it would be just a meeting and not an interview.
Oct 18 - meeting with Director. Director asks me my comfort about migrating an existing project in very old technology to a new technology. I said ok, but would rather like to work in some latest technology. (Note that the job profile the Hiring manager told me on the interview date was a different one)
Oct 22 - No update from TA. So I send a mail on the new mail thread.
Oct 23 - Reply from TA on the new mail thread, stating TA won't able to take my candidature forward.
So finally after 48 days I got the result. Rejected.
Things to note:
1. TA kept me hanging all the time. I had cleared all the rounds and was waiting for the offer letter as per the initial mail thread.
2. Towards the end they stopped responding on the first mail thread and started a new mail thread in which I had a "meeting" with Director which I "failed" and hence got rejected.
3. Unless I send an email, they don't have the courtesy to tell me the reason for delay or tell me upfront about the delays.
I have only heard about such stories. Finally experienced one. I hope others don't get such bad interview experiences from any company.

Good questions from .NET, SQL (Reference concept, Deep clone etc)
Total time of interview is 4 hours. Questions asked were along the lines of behavioral, teamwork, communication, conflict, and two coding test. The first part of coding was more set up and an easy implementation, then the second expanded on that work and more slightly difficult tasks were asked.

Entretien
Applied through linkedin. Recuriter reached out on Wednesday(10/14) and scheduled a 4 round interview process on Saturday (10/17).
4 technical rounds:
1) Coding round (DS questions)
2) Skill round (Questions on skillset in resume)
3) Design Round
4) Technical + behavioural round with Senior Manager
They interviewed me for Lead Menber technical staff. All the rounds went pretty well with last round being above average. The recruiter came back and said that the feedback result is to offer a position for Senior Member technical staff instead of Lead Member technical staff. My first 3 rounds went very good but they said that the feedback is not as per the expectation for a Lead position candidate. I wasn't good with this statement because the guy who interviewed me was a Senior MTS guy. How can they ask a Senior MTS guy to evaluate a candidate for Lead MTS position.
They said this should have been communicated to you in the last round which they didnt do. actually. They asked me if i want to go ahead for the Senior Mamber technical staff. We agreed that I need some time(1-2 days) to think and they will also discuss internally. Its been 7 days now , no response from them and I have also dropped them an email to follow up but no reply to my email.
Very unprofessional when recruiters don't respond to emails. however they will keep calling you n times before the interview process but don't have courtesy to reply to the candidates after the interview.

Skill round: Lots of practical questions on skillset with some theoretical questions. 1 coding question on heap
Tech round with Senior Manager: Behavioral questions and technical questions around code review best practices, concurrency related question etc.
