Initial 1-hour video call with the director and then half day in-person meeting with research staff and CSO. The interview included questions about background and hypothetical experiment questions. Though I thought the interview went well and I enjoyed getting to know the staff, I found it deeply discourteous that the discovery director did not respond to my thank you or follow-up email inquiring about the status of the position. After taking time off work and driving an hour to this interview and an hour back, a simple courtesy update would have been appreciated. I sincerely hope this is not a reflection of the culture or communication style of the company, as I believe they are doing great work.
