Got a call from a recruiter to arrange phone interview. Basically one way.. tell me about yourself, etc. How many calls do you make a day in your job. No set amount, I did a lot more than making calls. Meet and greet with partners, prospects, clients, write contracts, SOW, marketing pieces, do research, etc. OK- availability to interview next week and I'll get back with you. Never heard back and contacted her. Very unprofessional. And that's after the thank you note! She even looked me up on LinkedIn. So, I proceed to contact managing partner there who I had gone on a sales call with to my old company. She was obliging to contact local recruiter to talk with me. I explained what I did which was totally applicable to what I thought the job entailed based on title and lack of info in ad. Would you think with this title you would be a telemarketer with a headset 8-9 hours a day! Certainly not me. Write the ad saying it's inside sales telemarketing. Save yourself and applicants a lot of time and energy.
Needless to say my skills would never be utilized at alliant group. The model may work for them, but not for me.
