Was done through chat on Teams. Thought it was a bit weird, but it's been years since I've been in the workforce. Was offered a job. They sent a cheque to be deposited and to buy the equipment needed. Red flags were up but I guess I was just eager enough to believe it was real. It wasn't until they asked me to go to the nearest shoppers to get a prepaid master card to send to their vendor that it clicked it was a scam. I did a search on the lady's name and found that she had posted on LinkedIn 15 hours earlier that people were using their company as a scam. Now just waiting for the bank to remove the funds from my account as a scam. Thankfully I haven't spent a cent of it.
