I applied online and received an email from a recruiter a little over two weeks after I applied. The initial interview was via telephone and was fairly straight forward. He asked about my experience, interest in the company, and why I was looking for a new role. He further went on the explain the salary and benefits, the responsibilities of the position and the team structure. It was a decent interview that was more along the lines of a conversation between two friends. It was very comfortable and you could tell he enjoyed his job. He stated that he wanted to setup another call with the Workplace Operations Manager via video conference a couple of days following my initial phone screen.
My call with the Workplace Operations Manager took place exactly two days later, and to say that it was a was a complete disaster is an understatement. He asked questions that had nothing to do with the role or responsibilities of the position. It wasn't even like an interview where we are gauging each others interest in each other. He was literally just throwing me question after question, not really interested in my answer. He seemed very agitated and annoyed with they way that I was answering and responding and refused to even look at me during the interview. I was completely thrown off by his behavior. Needless to say I didn't make it after this round, I mean I didn't even receive a "thank you, no thank you" canned note.
