I had an initial phone screening with the current coordinator, which was extremely positive and covered information about what types of skills are needed in the role and what responsibilities the role requires. At the end of our call, we scheduled a time for me to speak to the team manager, which was the following week. My conversation with the manager was also very positive, and focused more on my past experience and how that would tie into the work I would do in this position. After this call I had a better picture of what the team looks like, and I felt excited to continue the process and have a potential to be hired. My third interview would have been an onsite, but I was not living in San Francisco at the time. The team was very accommodating and set me up with a Zoom video conference for the following week. I met five of the team members, who were all very welcoming and seemed excited to speak with me about the role and what their recruiting team does for Zendesk. I was kept in the loop throughout the entire interview process, which was comforting and made the few weeks feel very personable.

The recruiter reached out to me on the same day I submitted my application. She was very flexible with scheduling for my phone screening as I was going out of the country the next day. The interview was short and she asked simple questions. I felt like I was interviewing for a sorority or something.
