I went through Talent Acquisition interview, hiring manager interview and then it all ended after speaking with the second stakeholder. The second stakeholder is a power play and put my application in a situation to overtake the prescribed recruitment process. Perhaps my candidacy got caught in the politics and became collateral damage.

I was upfront about my salary expectations from the start of the process. After completing three rounds of interviews and being told I was the lead candidate, I was contacted and asked if I could lower my salary expectations, as the hiring manager was only prepared to offer less than what had been previously discussed.
