Genuinely the worst process I've ever come across. I was asked to complete a case study after the initial screening call, which was already a red flag. The brief was loose, no deadline was set, and it wasn't clear what the next steps would be.
Anyway, I completed and submitted it... then nothing. Over a month went by. My emails went unanswered. Eventually, I heard back saying they had changed the scope of the role and they wouldn't be moving forward.
There was no acknowledgement of the work I had put in. Zeal had asked for a three-page strategy document, so I had basically done a day's work for free. I should invoice for it, really.
I had been warned that, culturally and structurally, Zeal is a mess. This is clearly true. To any self-respecting candidate: avoid.
