It felt like they were unprepared to evaluate candidates with advanced qualifications like a PhD. Zalando, please consider employing recruiters with appropriate technical expertise to ensure a fair and engaging interview process for specialized roles. Also requirements of the position seem very broad without any particular focus.

HR interview and then initial technical interview. The technical interview should be 1 hour but after 30min, the reviewer said she was out of questions :) then she ended the interview.
