Learned about this place when I was Googling work opportunities that matched my experience (Subtitling) and saw that they had an opening. Ended up applying a few times (it seems that the work could be seasonal, with only a handful of people on staff and the busy times covered by independent contractors) before I got any sort of response, when an assistant reached out about scheduling an in-person interview.
Went in to meet with two guys, they were interested in my previous experience but didn't seem particularly warm. Emailed me later with a several-page written test to check the quality of my work/attention to detail, which wasn't too difficult, then ended up scanning and emailing it back when I was done. I never heard anything back from them, even when I sent a followup email 2 weeks later.
Call me old-fashioned, but when a candidate comes in for an interview, you give them a take-home test and they take the time to complete it and send it back, I think the least you can do is have the courtesy to get back to them to let them know their results-- if they're going on to the next stage or not, if you've hired someone else, or if there's no longer a need to hire someone.
Just didn't strike me as a company that had a lot of respect for potential employees after that point (and probably current employees based on some of the other reviews I'm reading here and elsewhere), which is unfortunate, since from my experience this type of work is kinda specialized with only a handful of companies performing it, meaning that workers and managers can sometimes end up working together again at different companies down the road.
Do not recommend them.
