      Entretien

Very long, emotionally draining and confusing interview process. I have been reached out to by a recruiter/head-hunter about a particular senior role. After the first round of interviews it was 2-3 weeks gap after which I was informed that although I would be (as all other candidates; yes, they disclosed that) unsuccessful for this particular role, the company sees me fit for one of their other roles, SME role, and asked me if I would be interested. After telling them that I would be very interested, I had a second round of interviews with another manager at the company and senior member of the team to take me through the technical questions. At this stage I was told that the role I’m interviewing for is not yet established and they would be willing to create it for me basically. I was over the moon and the interview went very well. After around 2 weeks I was contacted again to say that they would like me to participate in the final round - a 10min interview with the CEO. Again, super happy, super excited. The interview was scheduled to be held in a week, however the HR cancelled it on the day. The interview was postponed for another week. This was annoying, as the process was already super long and draining, especially when it’s only 10min interview left in the process. Fast forward another week, the CEO was late for around 8mins into our 10min interview. The interview was great, we were talking, laughing and it all seemed to go amazingly well. A week later I get a rejection email from HR with “detailed feedback” which says the CEO is concerned about my loyalty as “I’ve never worked for a company for a long time”. Please bear in mind I was employed at multiple places, longer employments going for 2-3 years each, and also please note that everyone had this information since the beginning. What was the point of this whole process if they rejected me because of something they knew at the start? If they expected me to be employed somewhere for 5-10 years prior as a requirement, why drag this for so long?
