I was connected to this position through a headhunter, under the condition of contract employment for 12 months, possibility of extension. I went in for 2 separate interviews in-person after a phone screen, and both interviews went very well, but they were not ready to invest in a quality employee. I was extended a verbal offer, but when I asked for clarification on the terms of the offer (salary, hours, ability to be converted to full-time), I was not even given answers or 24hrs to consider before it they accepted an offer from someone else. Very poor practice, I feel as though I dodged a bullet by not dealing with them as my employer.
