      I recently applied for a job that required a lengthy application process, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to others due to the excessive amount of time and effort required to complete it. The application process took weeks to complete, and each step required multiple tasks that took more than 20 hours to finish. The initial application required a detailed resume, cover letter, and responses to several essay questions that took hours to complete. After submitting the initial application, I was required to complete several assessments and tests, which took even longer. These assessments includes an EXCEL test which took more an hour to complete. Then I was paired with an employee who ask me some generic question regarding my background but also weird questions such as " how to you rank you ability comparing to the rest of your team" The most time-consuming part of the application process was the project assignment. I was required to complete a real-world project that was similar to the job responsibilities for which I was applying. The project assignment took over 20 hours to complete, and it required a significant amount of research, analysis, and creative problem-solving. While I understand the importance of evaluating a candidate's skills through a real-world project, the amount of time required to complete this task was excessive. In addition to the lengthy and time-consuming application process, the feedback I received after being rejected was not constructive at all. The feedback focused on critique points that were not even mentioned in the project summary, and it was evident that the employer was looking for someone who was 100% capable of doing the job as soon as they started. This approach to hiring is concerning because it suggests that the employer is not interested in giving candidates the space to grow and develop their skills on the job. Instead, they are seeking someone who is already an expert in the field, which can be limiting for both the employer and the employee. Furthermore, the feedback provided was not helpful or constructive in any way. It felt more like a generic rejection letter rather than a genuine effort to provide feedback and help candidates improve. As a result, I felt like I wasted a significant amount of time and effort on an application process that ultimately did not provide me with any useful insights or feedback.
