      Entretien

      I applied online via LinkedIn and their internal recruiter setup a 15-minute phone screen. It was a great conversation that ended up being around 30 minutes and he stated the next step would be a 1-hour phone interview with the VP of Sales and Marketing Operations the next day. Again, another great phone conversation to which the VP wanted to bring me in to meet some of the team members to see if it would be a good culture fit for both parties. The in-person with two of three team members went well, however, the third meeting felt like an interrogation and was seemingly accusatory to the point of him stating, "Well, I thought you said this..." I understand that the tactic is to most likely see how a candidate performs under pressure/stress, but there is a difference between asking questions and being aggressively interrogated. STAR questions can achieve this without making the candidate feel attacked. After the in-person, I followed up immediately with thank you notes to each person I met with. I was told by the recruiter that I should hear back within a few days but as days passed, I did not receive an update so I emailed him for an update. Over a week later, still not response. I understand teams are busy, but as a recruiter, I feel that it is important to represent your company well and ensure you are following up with candidates. Interviewing takes a time investment on both sides, even more so for candidates currently in another role. After spending 3 hours speaking with this company, I felt that a mere 30-second email to say they've gone another route, at the very least, would've been respectful.
