During my interview process, the interviewers and talent experts were respectful.
The interview lasted for 70 days from the first contact.
During the first arranged interview, I waited for 20 minutes, but no one joined. Assuming that they didn't need a new employee, I didn't follow up. However, after a few days, the interviewer asked me to reschedule the interview.
During the first phone interview, we discussed the job description and requirements, and I explained my skills and experience. After following up, I was told that my skills were suitable for the position, and I was given a technical test that involved a refactoring project. After completing and submitting the project, they replied that they were satisfied with my work.
In the next technical interview, I was asked about my approach in completing the project, as well as some questions about project management and testing approaches.
Despite my resume indicating my skill level and my positive technical test results, after 70 days of the interview process, I was informed that they needed someone with cloud or infrastructure experience and integrated test skills which I didn't have in the first place! However, the job title was intermediate, and I had enough skills for the position.
At the end of the job description, it was written: "If you are excited about this role, but your past experience doesn't align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway." However, you need to be perfect anyway!
