      Entretien pour Senior Level

      21 juil. 2017

      Greenwich, CT
      Aucune offre
      Expérience négative

J'ai postulé via une autre source. J'ai passé un entretien chez XPO (Greenwich, CT) en juil. 2017

      Entretien

Like several others who posted here, I also had a very poor experience with what is called the "due diligence" process. I also saw the company reaction posted here of sorry you had a bad experience. The reality is the questions were similar to those others listed here. The questions were not only invasive, totally inappropriate but they were also illegal. I was not at all impressed with the person asking the questions-it was very amateurish and obnoxious. My understanding is the CEO likes this process and also used it at another company he came from so they are quite aware of what is being asked. Certain questions about drug use, your financial status and several others I was asked are illegal. The people doing this are also not sharp enough to realize that certain states allow taping of meetings (phone or video calls also) like that. I wouldn't be surprised if someone has done that already or will do it at some point in the future and report it (not sure who it gets reported to in the govt.)

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Same as many others reported-obnoxious, inappropriate and illegal such as rate your financial standing (I'm paraphrasing)

Interview process is several rounds with several teams in two/three hour blocks. HR isn’t involved to almost the end. Merger/Acquisition team is part of the process. Some interviewers were not familiar with the attributes or description of the job.

      Question 1

Do you have children? How old are your children?

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez XPO (Greenwich, CT) en août 2016

      Entretien

9 interviews all via video conference. Interview questions were vague, more conversational. No process outlined or defined assessment expectations. Word of caution to any candidates being considered for Director level or above. You will be scheduled with someone from what they like to term, "Due Diligence." The individual will begin the interview with traditional intention and then half way through begin an interrogation about your background/character/financial status/legal matters status/ - try to intimidate you. Justify that the reason for these questions is based on the CEO long time approach of vetting candidates in this manner. Warning bells - culture of bullying? HR nightmare? Etiquette?

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

As mentioned, spoke with someone in Due Diligence and they asked the following questions: 1. Have you been terminated from a position? 2. Did you embellish your resume? 3. Have you sold or consumed illegal drugs? 4. Have you sold or consumed illegal drugs in the past 12months 5. Do you have any liens or bankruptcies? 6. Have you ever taken legal action against a company you were employed at? 7. Have you ever taken legal action against another employee from a company you worked at? 8. Where would you rank your financial status? 5 - being wealthy and 1 - being poor? 9. Rank how you value honesty and integrity 10. What other offers are you considering? Where are they? Who are they with? When are you interviewing with them? 11. Where does XPO rank on the list? If we offered you a position tomorrow, would you accept it? I could keep going but I think you get the gist. It does not matter what level you are interviewing for, this is a complete violation and screams "we bully, we judge, we discriminate."
