First part of the process is a phone interview which lasts about 30 minutes. At the end of the call, I was told that I would be hearing something the following week about next steps...fast forward an entire month later and I get the standard "We will not be moving forward..". It's really unacceptable to ghost someone for an entire month. I get they are busy and short-staffed, but a simple email of "no thank you" or "we're still in the process" would have sufficed. Don't say next week, if it's going to be 4 weeks later.
