      Recruiter contacted me via Linkedin, then did not follow up for 2 weeks when I expressed my potential interest. Finally when she scheduled a screening and then an interview - all the interviewers were Russians, 3 people at the same time, including HR. It was remote / video conf, they dialed in from St. Petersburg, Russia. Surprisingly, most questions were related to my current job, and there was a clear conflict of interest preventing me from going that route. Similarly, after the positive feedback from the 2nd interview, they asked me to do a PM exercise : "Please look through the task and let me know when you could have got back with solution. Do not hesitate to ask me if you have any questions about. Expected outcome is a product brief. TEST TASK Imagine you need to deploy Wrike for 10 teams (Sales, Marketing, Support, IT, etc.), through the interface. Each team have its own workflow and instruments to organize their work, but sometimes teams collaborate on projects and processes with other teams. How would you improve Wrike to provide configuration for these teams? How would you make sure that configuration fits managers' and team members' needs? As part of your research come up with 1-3 product ideas and present them in the format of the Product Brief listed below. Target Audience Which ideal customer profile (ICP) and user persona does his product initiative target? Problem(s) What problem(s) does this product initiative try to solve for the selected user persona? Why this problem(s) is worth solving? Solution How does the solution for the selected problem(s) might look like? Hypothesis Why the suggested solution will lead to solving the problem(s)? Success Metrics What will be the proof that the problem(s) has been solved successfully?" My response was as follows: this task is directly related to your company's product and my current company's product offering which puts me in a difficult situation. In addition, this task is related to your real product, and real / existing problems so I would not feel comfortable providing this type of free consulting and looking at your glassdoor reviews, I am not alone. I would definitely prefer to do a more generic product ideation exercise, and avoid any conflicts of interests. I also want to point out that you as a company contacted me with regards to this role, and I have not applied myself. I would be happy to speak with the hiring manager, who can also assess my skills and experience directly. " end of quote. The HR responded as if she did not understand anything, stating that they asked a very generic question :). To me it's a show-stopper. I did not follow up.

      Got no reply or feedback for a carefully crafted application with relevant PM experience of 5+ years. I applied via Cocuma which is supposed to represent how much companies care about people and culture. What a waste.

      Company that overrates itself, it might be attractive only to people who never worked outside Russia/Easter Europe. After an initial screening with HR you get cognitive ability test that you need to complete in limited amount of time. Test is not that difficult, but you need to know how it works/train a bit. However it is super inefficient way to hire anybody. For me a company that uses such tests a prerequisite to start interview rounds is definitely a company where I would not want to work. Out of curiosity I completed the rounds of interviews. They were quite basic and straightforward. On the offer stage HR rep behaves as if they do a huge favor to you and start hinting that you should feel privileged to get there. Their tone changes significantly when they think they got you. Maybe it was English problem in HR rep, but their mails sounded very borderline polite (if you got such emails from a person in UK/US you would say they were rude). Thank you for the "generous" and "exclusive" offer, but guys be realistic about where are you on the market and the salaries that you offer. You are not Google, so don't pretend to be it.
