J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez WorldFirst (Londres, Angleterre) en nov. 2018
Entretien
I had an initial call with HR to discuss the the role, my background and salary expectation.
Next I had a 1 hour phone call with an engineer about my technical experience and what I've been working on. They seemed articulate and had a good vision.
I passed this and then had a final interview for 2.5 hours. The interview started with a technical test that I was left to do for 45 minutes using Ansible. This was straightforward, although it would be nice to have been given notice of this, and also properly introduced to the interviewers before being given it.
Overall the interview was very straightforward, just a discussion of my technical experience from various team members. I was interested in how they work and how the road map is decided. The road map seemed to be decided by the technical lead or manager, rather than as a team. I also couldn't understand the architecture of what they were currently working on even after asking multiple times for more detail. A bit far behind with cloud native practices and security, but some interesting problems to solve.
In the end I received a brief phone call to say they were hiring another candidate who had more experience with a specific technology, bit short sighted I felt but reasonable.
Thanks for your feedback, that's really useful to understand and I've shared with the technical recruiting team. Pleased to hear you had a positive experience overall and best of luck in your next role.
