I found out about the position through an online job board and sent an email with my resume and cover letter to the listed contact. About a week later, the contact responded to my email asking if I would be available for an interview later that week. The interview was average. I was in a tiny room with two employees from the department that the internship was associated with. Following the interview I was asked to send them a list of professional references. I did so and never heard back from them again, even after sending a follow-up email over a week later. To this day I have no closure on the status of this position, so I have moved on and accepted another offer.
