      Entretien

The overall process takes 2 months. 1. Call with the Talent Acquisition Partner (company recruiter) 2. Interview with the hiring team (project manager & team lead) - 1.5hr 3. Take-home assignment (it takes me an evening, but generally don't do it - just search solution on Github) 4. Interview with the engineering team (review code solution as well as technical questions). 1.5 hrs. Generally, the process is straightforward, albeit it could be faster. They begging they need hundreds of engineers this year but seem pretty picky and looking for lacks in your answers. I got a take-home assignment about implemented an API. That's ok, I implemented it. With some minor enhancements. I also put notes on how the solution could be implemented in a real-world prod. I discussed the solution on the technical interview with the team (I would put a DB, logging, and things like this). And they rejected me after the final interview stating my solution has "there was some irrelevant stuff brought to the assignment (databases, Jinja2, environment variables, and HTML) ". How is that, did they read my code at all - it doesn't have all this! Interviewers seem pretty interested in the best practices I used in my projects but hardly answer how they work - I suspect they lack experience or something. One of the interviewers watched a TV while talking with me. Another red flag I spotted - they wanted to seat on the interview even when we run out of questions - they started asking the same questions again. We continued speaking for extra 0.5 hrs until I gave up with "ok guys let's get back to work". I don't know what they looking for, the outcome of the interview is not related to your answers, not a take-home solution. They just need to waste their (and yours) time hanging on the interviews rather than implementing a real job.
