That said, after investing 5–10 hours, I received an automated rejection email with no personalized feedback. For a final-stage candidate, this was extremely disappointing. I reached out directly to the hiring manager several times for feedback and never heard back. Given the time commitment required, I would expect a more thoughtful close to the process.
