      Entretien

I originally had a call with the internal recruiter. She was super nice and helpful. They sent me an interview link where you would be asked a question and then you had a minute to respond. What was distracting about this process is that you can watch yourself answer the questions, but then also watch the timer count down. To be honest the whole set up really caught me off guard. I am usually very solid in an interview, but this was distracting. Unfortunately, I never heard anything back from anyone. I'm not too surpirsed considering I didn't do well on the video. I do feel that my phone screen was solid and that I would have nailed an in person interview. I think that WillowTree unfortunately will bypass many candidates due to this interview process. It certainly isn't for everyone and very distracting. Advice to WillowTree: at least give people feedback. I think it is highly unprofessional to not receive even a one sentence email saying thanks but no thanks.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

How do you organize your day? If you did not have LinkedIn as a resource, how would you recruit? How do you keep up with the latest tech trends.

I'm sorry you haven't heard back from anyone yet as we do always strive to respond to applicants. We are still interviewing for this position, which may explain why you have not received a response.

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez WillowTree (Charlottesville, VA)

      Entretien

I applied online and had an hourish long phone conversation with the hiring manager, mostly about the recruiting and the tech industry. She invited me for an onsite interview, the final stage in the process. The onsite interview was supposed to last four hours, two of which were going to be spent working on a mystery project that I'd learn about when I got there. The first hour we'd go to lunch and the final hour I'd present my project.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

The whole interview centered around this onsite project, which ultimately didn't end up having that much to do with the job description or anything I'd talked about with the manager on the phone. They seemed to not really know what they were looking for. I spent most of the interview alone working on the project. The computer they gave me for the presentation was a mess-- terrible internet connection and missing even basic software. The project also didn't seem to be relevant to the job description or what I had discussed with the manager on the phone.
