I had an initial recruiter screen, with the following steps being a behavioral call with the hiring manager, then a technical screen with two of the relevant tech leads, and a last interview with the PM and non technical staff.
The questions were fairly average and the atmosphere of the interviews felt fairly casual, with most if not all of the questions requesting reasonable answers what an actual software engineering job would involve.
Upon receiving the verbal offer, they communicated a higher salary and a longer range of time to make a decision.
Hours later, they sent an email confirming a lower salary range and requested 24-48 hours to confirm a decision.
After requesting more time to decide and better compensation, they rescinded the offer.
Up til receiving a verbal offer, I really enjoyed this process. After this, however, I'm astonished by their lack of respect for my time as well as my professional skill set (which they appraised to be at the top with respect to other candidates)
I don't recommend interviewing with this organization if you prefer to have a solid window for decision making and as well as a competitive compensation package.
