I was contacted by an external recruiter for the role as I had prior experience as a network engineer working for another slightly larger financial institution. The interview was a 30-minute Teams meeting. After a brief icebreaker question we dove into the interview. They asked questions relating to routing protocol experience, troubleshooting firewall issues, etc. I asked about projects that they were working on and particular challenges and assured them that I could help them deal with one of their vendors, Fiserv. Despite what seemed like a good interview and the recruiter saying that they thought I was a great candidate they decided to continue interviewing candidates.
