Consisted of sending a resume in the initial application and conducting an initial interview to discuss some of the basics of whatever project you might be doing. It's confidential, so don't go chatting about specifics to other people. Shared writing portfolio and took 2 English proficiency assessments. Once passed, met with the hiring manager a few days later, and then received a formal offer after that interview and completed onboarding paperwork. For a part-time job in this industry, I was extremely impressed with their professionalism and how detail-oriented they are. It's not just a one-and-done test where you never see anyone face-to-face. They are well-organized, upfront, and honest about the nature of the work, have everything ready to go in terms of paperwork (they're not a scattered mess), and they seriously took the time to actually review and discuss my qualifications, portfolio, and resume during both interviews. They made me feel valued before I was even offered a position. I felt they truly took the time to make sure they weren't just hiring anyone and that they valued my expertise and took the time to really get to know me. Both interviewers were so incredibly kind and easy to talk to, but professional and take pride in their work. Other management, such as those in onboarding, have been prompt in communications, open, kind, and welcoming. You don't feel like just a number. There seem to be a lot of potential perks for a part-time job, too, and it seems they have high standards and expectations without micro-managing, which speaks to the quality of their output. Honestly, it was one of the smoothest and most enjoyable interview processes I've experienced. I've worked as a teacher, an editor, and at a college and publishing company, and none of them were as smooth or genuinely welcoming and kind as this. Pleasantly surprised and super impressed with this company! Very much looking forward to getting started.
