First round.) HR screen with 1 easy data structures question
2nd round.) Dev screen with easy questions establishing that you have in fact used Rails/Elixir before
After the 2nd round they give you a take home assessment that you have 72 hours to complete. The problem is a very easy CRUD app (no user authentication required) with bonus points for file uploading, deployment, or a front end.
WARNING: If you meet all of the explicit requirements they lay out for this problem AND do the bonus points that still might not be enough.
the reviewers will deduct points from your challenge under the following conditions:
- if THEY don't know the cd/ls commands
- if you do the bonus part of creating a frontend they will judge you if you use the default scaffolding css/html..
- if you don't meet their code coverage standards. no where in their requirements did they mention they were looking for 100% code coverage. if you decide to add a code coverage dependency they will in fact use that against you
if you meet all of their requirements to a tee that won't be enough if the reviewers just aren't feeling your styling.
