      Candidature

J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez WebFX (Harrisburg, PA) en févr. 2019

      Entretien

Drawn out, long, and full of questions that didn't matter. They asked about GPA and then asked why it wasn't a 4.0. Also they gave an unsolicited test that included brain teasers and spelling. Really weird interview process. I also went through 8-9 steps such as a phone call, phone interview, personality test, two in person interviews, and some others that I can't remember. Company felt kind of like a cult.

      Question 1

      We saw you had a 3.6 GPA, why wasn't it a 4.0?

I initially had a phone interview and was then asked to fill out this (rather long) written questionnaire delving more into what was discussed during the phone interview. After that, we had to fill out a personality test, which I always find to be questionable. Why do you need to know exactly what kind of person I am? Considering I am someone who is rather introverted, I feel that these types of exams are meant to weed out those who are not the *ideal* extroverted, outgoing candidate. Going from there, I made it to the next round of the process (yes, there's more), which was a Zoom interview. This one was more about who you are as a person and how that works with the job position itself. I was informed that there would be one more interview if I was selected to move on. I was not. Now, this would be fine...if they had actually filled the position. As I write this, all of the job positions they had up on their website back in early spring, when I interviewed, are STILL there. You're telling me that out of the supposed *thousands* of applicants they received for my position, as they claimed in my interview, not a single person suited their needs? Are you serious? This tells me that the company is not actually hiring but wants to appear as though they are. This is outright insulting to those who spend quite a bit of time (coming from me, who went through two interviews, one written questionnaire, and a personality test), going through the process. I could have spent time applying to places who were actually seriously considering candidates, but no, I fell for WebFX’s trap. Don’t be like me. Do a little more research on the company and hear from those who have actually worked there rather than believing everything they see at first glance.

      Question 1

I don't recall the exact questions asked of me, but the phone interview was much more about the position itself and why I was drawn to it and the company while the second interview (which I assume would normally be in person), was more about my personality and how it would suit the job itself.
