This was a temporary CSR opening, and I applied for it. The job posting said "flexible hours," which matched what I'm looking for during the summer. The manager at the location I applied at rescheduled when I went in to talk in person about my application, and we arranged a time for an interview. I went in 10 minutes before the scheduled interview, and the manager stated that he needed to reschedule due to this and that. We arranged for another time for an interview, and I got there early as I did before. He wasn't even in the store. I called the store back, and the manager said he had to go fill in at another store. We arranged for a 3rd meeting (and last chance), and I was there 10 minutes early. The interview was the standard line of questioning, but the manager fixated over my current role, and pretended to be excited about my recent promotion there. The manager came off so creepy, and he leered at me. He asked how many hours I was looking for, and I said 40 hours a week for the summer until school starts again, when I'd be going back there for the school year. He finally admitted that I could only have 30 hours a week, which means they lied by omission in the job posting. He then started talking about uniforms and the pay rate ($16.00 at part-time), leading me to believe I stood a chance. After that, they rejected me, and as of today, April 7th, 2023, the job posting is still up. This store had to reduce their hours, and the shelves are always a mess. Based on the way this manager acted toward me, they like it this way, and they're happy with their status quo. Fine w/ me. I feel sorry for whoever they chose over me, assuming they even chose anyone.
