I filled out the online application, and then about a week later I visited in store to follow up for "step two" of the process. I dressed in a nice skirt and blouse, with my hair and makeup done. After an assistant manager had me fill out step two on a store computer (IQ test; asked questions about how to make change, "is the customer always right" type questions), I interviewed with the store manager. The store manager talked to me for about 5 minutes about the hours he was looking for and the position (cashier/beauty advisor). The only things he asked me about were what college I was attending, what I was studying, my previous experience (none), and what my preferences were in regards to hours. I was hired on the spot and sent for drug testing the same day. Don't go in for step two if you know you could fail the drug test, since if you're hired same day they will try to send you for the test asap and it'd probably look rather shady if you decline. Overall it was much easier than I anticipated.

I met with the Store Manager and Assistant Manager of the store, it was a typical interview. They asked about my work experience and my availability. There was also a drug test offsite (urine).

Quick and basic questions. Nothing extreme hired on the spot and started the following week. Very nice manager who interviewed. Wanted my history & work experience. Usually I’m pretty anxious during interviews but not this one.
