Initial online application which involved a section to fill out basic info (details, qualifications and job history) and a couple of questions on interests and work availability. Received emails inviting me to complete the situational judgement tests almost immediately. They weren't overly difficult, wanting you to focus on qualities such as teamwork and company loyalty, however I had to complete three different tests which is too many for the role I was applying for. Within a week I heard back that I had been invited to a two-hour assessment centre at one of their offices in London. There were around ten of us in total, separated into two groups and asked to complete a group exercise allocating certain foods to customers based on preference, price etc. Then we each had one-on-one interviews and we could leave straight afterwards. Interview was pretty relaxed and I was asked basic strengths-based questions as well as ones on the company itself 'what drew you to apply', 'what are Waitrose main values'. Overall the assessment took just over an hour and was easier than expected! Heard back after around 10 days with an email explaining I had passed the assessment however that they didn't have any current suitable roles for me and would keep my applications on record for 3 months incase something came up. It has since been 2 months and I recently received a phone call offering me a position which I declined.
