Recruiter contacted me on LinkedIn. Initial Phone screen was setup with Recruiter for about 20 minutes and it was mostly informational. Second round, Technical Phone Screen was setup for 30 Min. Interviewer asked me about few Database related concepts and problems related to scaling and troubleshooting.
After the Technical phone screen, one one one onsite interview was setup with five different people.
Interviewer asked me several questions specific to Travel Industry and issues related to scaling SQL Server, Database Design, Architecture, etc.
The recruiter I worked with is amazing and he kept me informed about the processes and explained about the benefits , perks and HomeAway culture and career development opportunities.
Overall , I had amazing experience interviewing with the team and learned quite a bit about HomeAway through watching founders YouTube Videos. Founders are pretty engaged and have quite a few YouTube Videos on variety of topics including Employee Engagement, Angel Investment, Startup and history of HomeAway.
